A pass in higher secondary course or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to and fulfilling the following subjects of study.

A pass in qualifying examination with qualifying subjects

50% aggregate of all the four subjects
Most backward class (MBC) Denotified communities (DNC)
45% aggregate of all the four subjects
Mark in each of the four subjects would be converted to 50 as Mark obtained / Maximum mark x 50.
and the aggregate of the four subjects would be taken for ranking for maximum of 200 marks (50 x 4 = 200).
NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS TO PASS
For the purpose of qualifying examination, the maximum number of attempts to pass for admission to all the courses are as follows.
Scheduled castes / Scheduled tribes : Three
All other communities : Two
Candidates should not have completed the age of 21 years on the first day of July of the admission year for all the courses. However, for Scheduled castes/ Scheduled tribes, there is no age limit.
For physically challenged: Maximum age relaxable is 26 years
For Non Resident Indian (NRI) quota, the maximum age relaxable is 25 years
MODE OF ADMISSION
65 percent of the total seats are surrendered to TNAU. The single window system implemented by TNAU as per the reservation policy of Tamil Nadu Government is followed to fill 65 percent of the total seats
